Start by applying foundation to the eyelid. Brush a nude eye shadow over the top. This works to prepare the eyelid for colour; keeping them intense and in place for longer.
Brush a deep bronzy colour into the contour of the eye. Follow this by a softer bronze over the outer half of the lid. Apply an intense copper colour to the middle of the lower lid. On the inner corner of the lid sweep on a light creamy colour, brush the same colour on the brow bone to highlight it. Using a combination of shades like this works to make the eyes appear larger. Blend the colours together with a small brush. Add a little red eye shadow into the contour crease to give the look depth, again blend to eliminate any harsh lines. For an added touch of glamour dab on a little glitter to the middle of the eyelid.
Step 2: Eyelashes
Apply mascara to the top eyelashes. Wedding make up should be especially dramatic - so false eyelashes are a must. Trim the ends of the strip, this will help it adhere to the eye. Apply the glue as per the packet instructions, then use an orange stick to accurately push the false lashes as close to your lash line as possible. Keep your eyes closed while the glue dries.
Fill in the eyebrows with eyebrow powder applied with an angled brush. Comb eyebrow gel through to keep in shape.
Apply liquid black eyeliner along the lash line. Take out beyond the eye, flicking it upwards for a traditional wide-eyed look.Clean away any fallen eye shadow with a facial wipe.
Step 3: Foundation
Use a brush to apply foundation to the rest of the face, blending it down the neck. Naveeda's top tip if to always apply make up with good quality brushes to get a professional finish.
Now's the time to cover any imperfections will a touch of concealer, blending it into the foundation with your finger tip. Set the foundation with lose powder, - don't be afraid of using too much, Naveeda recommends Brides always matt the skin as it looks better in photographs. Dust off the excess with a fan brush.
Step 4: Lower lashes
Use a small brush to line under the lower lashes with black eye shadow, soften the line with a sponge smudger. Apply black kohl pencil to the inner rim, and finish the eyes by brushing black mascara to the lower lashes.
Step 5: Blusher
Naveeda prefers using a little more blusher than usual on Brides. Apply the apples of the cheeks, then brush up along the cheek bone. Use a large soft brush to gently dust over lose powder to get rid of any harsh blusher linesStep 6: Lips
Even out the colour of the lips by dabbing on foundation with your finger tips. Line the lips with red lip liner, as it is such a strong colour soften the line with a brush. Then fill the lips with a red lipstick. Blend bronze lipstick into the red for a rich, opulent look. Lastly dab on gold gloss to make the lips appear even fuller.Contouring is another makeup artist tool that played a starring role in Sherman's work. While I've long lauded contouring as the secret to runway-worthy bone structure, it can also be used for less flattering purposes. Sherman employed extreme contouring in her series of society women, giving them the appearance of haggard and world-weary victims of heavily applied makeup doing more harm than good. In one especially arresting image there appears to be two women, one about 20 years older than the other.Your wedding day is the time to be in the spotlight, so don’t let your makeup overwhelm your natural beauty. But if you want a bit of oomph, a shiny, berry lip is gorgeous for a fall wedding.
Makeup married by its very nature is a unique requirement and brides makeup scheme for the big day has need of review and reflection. Here is Vibrant, Rich & Royal traditional makeup look by favorite artists, photos of wives of beauty in traditional makeup with red rose lipstick, red lipstick, dark, light and heavy makeup shoot 2013.
By nature, weddings are fraught with details, with the possible exception of last-minute elopements in Las Vegas. Brides everywhere agonize over the location, décor and floral arrangements with an intensity rivaling some nuclear arms summits. On the most important (and most photographed) day of any bride's life, it's crucial that her makeup doesn't fall by the wayside. After all, going easy on the makeup can leave a woman in white looking unnaturally pale, and overdoing it can quickly turn a blushing bride into a Bobo the Clown clone. Fortunately for brides of all seasons, times of day and locations, TLC has some suggestions for looking natural -- yet radiant -- and keeping that glow for the entire ceremony and reception.
Baby, it’s cold outside — but that shouldn't stop you from looking smokin’ hot on your wedding day. While outdoor ceremonies are pretty much out of the question, brides aren't immune to winter woes when it comes to their hair and makeup. Follow these five guidelines (they're easier than figuring out the reception seating plan, promise) and you'll be on your way to beauty bliss on your big day — come rain, come snow, come hail or sleet.
Scale Back
Flakes, redness, dullness...dry winter air does no favors to a winter bride's complexion. The key to getting ahead of harsh winter temperatures is prevention. "Rather than waiting the day of the wedding to combat dry patches with lotion, start exfoliating and moisturizing at least a month beforehand," says Naeemah LaFond, owner and creative director of Under Her Veil, an on-site bridal beauty company based in New York. Her other day-of tip: Use a hydrating primer such as Smashbox Photo Finish. "This will leave the skin looking smooth and allow for easy makeup application,” she says.
Build The Right Foundation
Your summer foundation is yesterday’s news. Women — and especially brides — should switch up their base during the colder months, according to wedding makeup artist Jackie Schneider. “Unless the bride has unusually oily skin, matte foundations can actually accentuate fine lines and make winter skin look dull," she explains. "A silicone-based foundation, while too shiny in the summer, may be a perfect solution in the colder months.” Her favorite: Eve Pearl High Definition Liquid Foundation.
Don’t Be Fake
Most makeup artists agree to skip self-tanners and spray tans before your wedding day — even if it’s in the colder months. “I don’t advise fake bakes. They can rub off on the wedding dress, especially under the arms,” says Sandy Linter, a makeup artist at Rita Hazan Salon in New York. Instead, she recommends warming the skin with a bronzer. “Use a bronzer underneath the cheekbones, and it will contour your face as well as warm up your skin tone. Then put the blush directly onto the top or apple of the cheek. Two shades often look more natural than just one.” One to try: Lancôme's all-in-one Blush Subtil Palette.
Get Lippy
Chapped lips are among the biggest beauty problems for winter brides. (Who wants her first wedded kiss to feel like sandpaper?) Along with religiously using lip balm before the wedding, it's smart to nourish the lips before applying makeup on the big day. LaFond has all of her clients carry Mac Prep + Prime Lip, a translucent base that nourishes the lips when Jack Frost hits. “I also put a bit around the outer edges of the lips to keep lipstick from feathering,” she says.
Lose The Booze
Before the wedding, resist the urge to overindulge on alcohol with friends and family (yeah, we know it’s easier said than done). In addition to delivering a pesky hangover, booze can mute your blushing-bride glow. “Alcohol consumption is terrible for your complexion, and since it's super-dehydrating, it's an especially bad idea for a winter bride,” Schneider says. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to make up for it on your honeymoon.

In this post we will be sharing all the interesting facts in view of the Indian bridal makeup trends 2013. An Indian bride has been each single time known for her charming looking and elegant looking personality. Every single year all the brides are getting even more and more striking looking and this has been just made possible because of the bridal makeup trends that are improving each year. In Indian fashion trends the brides make the huge use of the red color makeup that symbolizes their personality and character. But now such time has been passed when the brides used to fill their faces with the maximum red makeup applications. In this post we are pasting few pictures of Indian bridal makeup trends 2013. In these pictures the women can view out that maximum brides have been favored with the light and soft makeup that is appearing as natural looking and simple or them. The eye shadows are kept as little bit glittering and shimmering for them along with the touch of gloss as well. According to the Indian bridal makeup looks 2013 the main lipstick colors are red and light pink ones.

So this was all about the Indian bridal makeup trends 2013. We hope that this post would have given much information in view of the Indian makeup trends.his blog post isn’t necessarily limited to bridal make-up but is more my top pick of easy products that give a pretty look that’s easy to create in a matter of minutes and suitable for a day at the beach.
1. Tinted moisturiser or BB cream: These are perfect for evening out the skin tone without the need for heavier foundation. One of my favourites is Laura Mercier, whichever one you choose just make sure it has SPF in it too.
2. Cream eyeshadow: I couldn’t live without Mac paint pots! I apply it with a flatish brush and blend it out with a fluffy brush but you could even apply them with your finger and they’re water resistant too.
3. Waterproof mascara go to two coats for big lashes.
4. Cream blusher: For a flush of natural colour, apply this with fingers onto apples of the cheeks and pat into the skin.
5. Sheer lipstick or stain: this season I’m using Dior Addict a lot (as you can see in my last post!) I love that it gives great colour but the texture is quite sheer and soft.
We are firm believers that you can change up your look with just one simple tweak. Today we’re turning to eye liner for a little makeover inspiration. Check out what a simple flick of the pencil (or liner brush) can do, as modeled on some of our favorite Hollywood beauties.
If you want to go a little bolder without thickening the line, follow Brandy’s lead by outlining the entire eye, even going as far as the inner corners. This small difference really highlights the shape of the eye.
When you’re wearing a bold lip, like Gwen Stefani’s signature red, the eyes shouldn’t be the focus. But skipping eye liner entirely can make your face look a little naked. Instead, apply liner along the top lash line and finish with a smudge of eye shadow on the lower lash line to add definition.
We love the cat eye that Naya Rivera modeled above. Unlike other versions, this was done using a powder liner so it’s less bold and looks more natural, elongating the lashes.
Colored eye liner is daring, but when applied with a light touch, the look becomes easier to pull off. Emma Stone’s shimmery blue liner works because of its clean, not-too-smoky shape.
Shimmer applied at the inner corner of the eye has become a staple. So why not dab shimmer along the entire bottom lash line like Carly Rae Jepsen did at the American Music Awards? The gold brightened the entire eye and added interest to an otherwise neutral makeup look.
One of the many things I love about working with makeup is its transformative power; its ability to completely change a face -- or body in some cases -- whether the results are glamorous or grotesque. Whilst makeup is most often used to accentuate a woman's natural beauty or make an artistic, colorful statement, it can also be used to portray a completely different persona. Contemporary artist Cindy Sherman is a woman who has manipulated makeup to her advantage in her work. Her retrospective, on view at New York's MoMA through 2012, features a staggering array of images Sherman created by dressing as women of every age and from every conceivable era, along with the occasional man or otherworldly creature. The images she has created with makeup and a little help from costumes, wigs, lighting and photo effects are often disturbing but always transfixing.

One of the most powerful methods of transforming a face is to manipulate the brows. By emphasizing or covering and then redefining a brow we can create looks that range from ethereal to sinister. Sherman used this technique to great effect, employing full brows to signal youth and an exaggerated unibrow to create a threatening countenance in her clown series. In reality, full brows are staging a serious comeback for spring/summer 2012, and Sherman's portraits are evidence that a strong, well-tended brow is a powerful marker of youth.

Contouring is another makeup artist tool that played a starring role in Sherman's work. While I've long lauded contouring as the secret to runway-worthy bone structure, it can also be used for less flattering purposes. Sherman employed extreme contouring in her series of society women, giving them the appearance of haggard and world-weary victims of heavily applied makeup doing more harm than good. In one especially arresting image there appears to be two women, one about 20 years older than the other. Both are actually Sherman, but the use of dark colors on the eyes and lips and heavy contouring easily add two decades. Talk about disturbing! Note to (your) self: keep your contours strategically placed and most importantly well-blended to keep your look fresh and flattering. I created my Ultimate Contour Palette to take the guesswork out of finding the right shades and textures for a flawless finish.

In Sherman's most recent portraits she went barefaced, using digital manipulation to change her look. It's astounding just how much a tweak of the nose or virtual plumping of the lips can change your whole appearance. Of course in real life, makeup remains the most foolproof and fastest way to alter your look. Some key takeaways from Sherman's portraits: the art of concealment around the eyes is an eternal refresher, use contouring for good and not evil, and and above all else, avoid harsh lines around the lips and eyes they add decades in an instant. At times, YouTube has provided honest reviews for products I responsibly weighed buying. It has also turned me on to indie makeup brands before they hit Sephora. Most of the time, though, I end up filling my drawers with junk I wouldn’t have bought were it not for a video: Lip colors I know will wash me out; mascaras from brands I don’t like; hair products not designed for my pixie cut.

By responsibly doing my work—right now, watching videos is my job—I wind up with “Oh crap, what did I buy?” regret after every trip to Rite Aid. When I buy high-end products at Sephora, the guilt multiplies.
After watching and dissecting hundreds of them, I figured, the videos would be powerless over me. Turns out I’m still a sucker. Product recommendations weasel into the dark corners of my brain. I am subliminally controlled by teenagers in Arkansas and Ontario.

A few purchases from the past two weeks:
Maybelline Color Whisper in “Oh La Lilac,” $8.43 These lipsticks are popular on YouTube right now, even though no one seems to like them very much. I think people just enjoy saying the name—”color whisper.” I bought the lilac one based off a review by a Canadian guru. I don’t like her taste in makeup, clothes, or hair, yet when I saw this product at Rite Aid I thought to myself, “Hmm, I remember someone telling me to buy this.” Way to go, lizard brain. The lipstick is not great—barely noticeable and short-lived on lips. Good for wearing to work, or at least I imagine it would be as someone who works from bed.As an obsessed Bride-zilla, its always a good idea to keep some reference shots of Indian bridal makeup you like (In my case, its even more important because iv booked my makeup artist without a trial. I do have a trial with her – but thats just 4 days before the wedding- ahh the perils of an outstation marriage.). Every Makeup Artist has a distinct style so its always helpful to let them know what you expect out of them. For example, even though my lehenga is red and blue im sure i DONT want red lipstick and i DONT want multicolored eyeshadows and i DONT want overly dramatic kathakali dancer eyes. (This has been drilled into my makeup artists brain so much, i think iv made a tiny hole in it!). But what about what i do want…its a lot harder to explain that in words so i shall do it picturesOodles of false lashes, and an eggplant color on the eyes with a natural, glistening lip ensures this Indian Bride looks perfectly put together!! I ADORE this look, the eyes are smokey bu not heavy, and the makeup makes her brown eyes stand out more. The lipstick perfectly complements the outfit too. This look is done by Delhi based bridal makeup artist Chandni Singh
Iv been carrying a picture of this indian bride’s makeup in my wallet wherever i go. Im sure her husband doesnt approve of that but i love the dewy cheeks here, i absolutely love the peachy natural lipstick, and the soft eyes!!! This one is by bridal makeup artist Shalini Singh
Remember the dream wedding video i showed you of Nisha and Jiten’s wedding?? (I dont really know them, i just found thei video online and loved it). I also loved Nisha’s makeup, which was not necessary traditionally bridal but it totally worked!. It was a bright pink lipstick, which contrasted beautifully against her stunning green Tarun Tahiliani blouse, paired with an understated bronze eye!
I dont know if this is Genelia’s actual bridal makeup or some Film shoot, but i love that despite wearing red, she as a bride has on a neutral lipstick with her lehega. I also like that the makeup is really subtle overall but still qualifies as bridal thanks to the gold on the eyes- love that blush too!
I think South Indian Brides look great in smokey eyes. I like how this makeup look has a smokey eye paired with a lip thats not exactly understated, but the overall effect is still not too overdone.
Another south indian bride there ! I dont like the foundation (patchy hello!), but i love the eyes, that gold is just GLOWING! Plus even though there is a tiny bit of red used on the crease, its not like overload of red on the eyes (Something a lot of indian brides tend to do- red red, all over- you would think they were Santa Claus or something. Except they dont come bearing gifts, and they are without a beard( well almost all of them).Brides wanting to stay true to tradition by wearing pure silk sarees, temple jewellery, and adorning themselves with jasmine flowers struggle to add in a modern touch.  The key to not looking like you jumped back into your mother's era is to offset all that with clean, modern make-up!

Bridal Dresses And Makeup Biography

Attending a favorite designer's trunk show maximizes your chance of finding the dress of your dreams.
It's a special event at which a wedding dress designer (or representative from the company) visits a bridal boutique on a set day with his or her entire line of new dresses. Brides schedule appointments to try on the dresses and meet with the designer.

Since most bridal salons often only carry a few dresses from a select group of designers, trunk shows allow customers the opportunity to see and try on dresses that they wouldn't ordinarily see at that store. If you find a dress you like during a designer trunk show, ask if the store carries it. If it doesn't, find out which stores do or get ready to buy!

The bride benefits because she has the opportunity to talk to the actual designer, to discuss the gowns and any changes she may want to make to the one she's considering for herself. Designers benefit because they get to watch brides try on their gowns and listen to their comments. It's a great opportunity for them to learn directly from the consumer what they're doing right -- and wrong! The bridal salon benefits because it gets to show -- and possibly sell -- dresses that aren't part of its regular stock.

Call local bridal boutiques and department store bridal salons to see when and if there are trunk shows scheduled, and with which designers. Trunk shows are planned well in advance, so stores should be able to give you a list of dates. The shows last from one to three days, and appointments book up quickly. Call early!

Understand that a trunk show is not technically a sale. The dresses are not marked as discounted. But, most trunk shows do offer a discount for placing your order on the spot, sometimes up to 20%, so don't be shy about asking. Even if the salon doesn't offer a discount, the designer may throw in a few extras (buttons down the back, additional length on the sleeves or the train) without charging you more. This relatively small savings could make a big difference if you're working with a tight budget.Fashion designer Abdul Samad showcased his debut collection at Fashion Pakistan Week 2010, which proved him as one of the most creative fashion designers in Pakistan

No matter how natural or glamorous you want your makeup to be on your wedding day, you definitely have many choices! Get inspiration from our Bridal Makeup & Beauty board and visit www.modernwedding.com.au for more tips on makeup and beauty for your wedding.

Onto the eyes! With bridal makeup it is important that your eye makeup is not too overpowering or dramatic. Your aim should be to look like a better version of your every day self! You will have your photos as memories forever- you don't want to look back years from now and think "Ugh! My makeup is SO 2013!". I always recommend a classic vs. "trendy" look. The most popular bridal eye makeup request is the brown smoky eye. This can be achieved using several shades of brown (dark/medium brown, light brown, and taupe). A vanilla colored eye shadow with a bit of shimmer is used to accentuate the brow bone and I also apply a barely there pink as the base color for this look. These colors can all be found at your area store but if you have a bit extra to spend Urban Decay makes a fabulous eye shadow set, Naked Palette which includes all the colors you need for the brown smoky eye and more! (Urban Decay products can be purchased through their website or in-store at your local Sephora). To go along with the shadow you also will need eye shadow primer. This can be hit or miss in drug stores and you may need to purchase this at a makeup counter. Wal-Mart sells Hard Candy eye primer for a very affordable price. While many may choose to skip this I feel it is an essential, as it keeps your eye makeup in place and allows a better application. With all the tears at a wedding I would not skip over this product!
Think seriously about hiring a makeup artist; everyday makeup is different from your wedding day needs.
Take time to try a few different makeup artists and choose one who understands your personal tastes.
Use eye drops if your eyes look red or tired on the day of (but stick with a brand you've used before to avoid unwelcome surprises).
Get as much sleep as possible the night before the big day.
Apply concealer to banish dark circles under your eyes.
Use matte eye shadows (they won't reflect light or look too shiny).
Use an off-white matte shadow along your brow bone if you have light skin, or peach if you have dark skin, to illuminate your eyes even more.
Blend well, especially at the corners of your eyes, since cameras pick up visible makeup lines.
Define your brows with a pencil or powder that matches your hair color.
Wear at least two layers of mascara.
Use an eyelash curler before and after applying your first coat of mascara.
Prevent makeup meltdowns by using a smudge-proof or waterproof mascara. (If you really don't like its look or feel, use one coat of regular mascara overlaid with a light coat of waterproof mascara.)
Buy a new mascara for your wedding day, but test it a few days before the wedding if it's a new brand.
Although weddings can be the happiest day of your life, trying to budget and balance your checkbook during the process is something that can throw the most laid back bride into stress mode. In the United States, the average wedding costs over twenty five thousand dollars! While trying to budget, many brides realize they cannot afford to hire a makeup artist which can cost anywhere from $ 60.00 to $ 300.00 per person. If you cannot afford a professional to glam you up, or would prefer to do it yourself yet have little makeup expertise have no fear! As a freelance makeup artist, the vast majority of my clients are soon-to-be brides wanting to look picture perfect on their big day. Throughout my time primping my brides I have learned many tips and tricks to doing the perfect wedding makeup. In this article I will share my knowledge and with a little practice, you can go from makeup novice to knowledgeable in very little time.Your wedding day is the time to be in the spotlight, so don’t let your makeup overwhelm your natural beauty. But if you want a bit of oomph, a shiny, berry lip is gorgeous for a fall wedding.
Makeup married by its very nature is a unique requirement and brides makeup scheme for the big day has need of review and reflection.
