I have now been establised for over 15 years and this has been one of my busiest years being involved in over 50 weddings, many coming from recommendations which is the biggest compliment I can have. On your wedding morning you need calm people around who know about timings and making people feel comfortable and relaxed. I will be there for all the small things, like a pair of scissors or a needle and thread for any last minute emergencies.

A Touch of Magic Makeup and Nails

My name is Helen Younger, I am a qualified makeup artist and I started A Touch of Magic Makeup and Nails in 1997. I work from my studio in Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead, Herts. I will give you the makeup you long for. I aim to offer my clients a very personal and relaxed service. I specialise in makeup, nails (both natural and Bio Scuplture gels) and pedicures.

Makeup

My makeup training started in 1992 in London with Linda Meredith who was an inspiration. I then went to the London College of Fashion to expand my knowledge. In more recent years I have carried on my training with courses in Fashion and Photographic makeup. It is important to keep up with the new products and trends.

I use a lot of MAC makeup as I find I can always rely on the makeup for the longevity needed for wedding and special occasion makeup. I also use Jane Iredale mineral makeup which gives beautiful skin coverage. I do, of course, have a variety of other professional brands to suit everyone's requirements: Armani foundations are beautiful and some of the products from Urban Decay, and Bobbi Brown work wonderfully on brides. Each makeup I do is individual so we will work to find out which one suits you perfectly.

Nails

My training for nails started in 1990. I have used many different products and have found that Bio Sculpture gel nails are the kindest to the natural nail and give a beautiful finish. I also offer manicures and pedicures using OPI products.
Known for her ability to make any bride flawless, Melissa De Nardis has endless experience working with respected artists, photographers, models and most of all beautiful brides.

Raised in Melbourne, Melissa began her training during her high school years where she excelled in art and design. After deciding to shift her talents from canvas to the face, Melissa attended the school of Napoleon Perdis where she specialized in makeup application.

Melissa’s inspiration comes from world renowned makeup artist and cosmetic creator Laura Mercier, where she trained and worked as a beauty consultant/makeup artist in 2007. It was here Melissa learnt to create looks that are both flawless and accentuate one’s natural beauty.
